A.K Paintball is proud to be located in the outdoor activity capital of Scotland, and we are now happy to offer some choice activities provided in the area.

These activities are the perfect addition to a session paintballing at our venue, to provide a full day of activity. We can also arrange these activities for you and your group even if you are not participating at the paintball.

Information about each of the activities is available below.

White-water rafting is undoubtedly a most popular and social adrenalin sport.

White-water rafting takes the form of a large inflatable craft designed to carry up to 8 participants, down rivers of varying difficulty - from the tame to the wildly dangerous.

Each boat is expertly guided by one of our instructors who is familiar with the river and it's obstacles. On your journey you will be encouraged to work together as a team to bump and glide your way along the rivers natural course, while enjoying all the wild and wacky rapids the river provides.

Usually a raft trip lasts half a day. On your arrival you will be issued with ALL the necessary specialist equipment which includes a wetsuit, wetsuit jacket, buoyancy aid, helmet, gloves, boots and socks. You will then be taken to the put in point and given a full safety brief before your river trip begins.

With the high level of expertise and experience that our guides have - we are able to swap venue depending on river levels and conditions. At certain times of the year, different rivers present different rafting experiences.

The rivers vary in grade, so if you or your group has experience with rafting, we can tailor our session to your groups needs. The rivers we use include the Tay, Tummel, Braan and Orchy (Orchy requires grade 3 experience).

As this is an activity that larger groups can participate in, it is a great addition to another of our activities to give you a full day of thrilling adventure.

Abseiling and rap running is a great fun activity suitable for all abilities and levels of expertise.

With our providers you begin with a straight-forward abseil, you will get the chance to slowly build up your confidence to a level that suits you. Right up to the ultimate descent method "Rap Running". Rap Running is a very similar technique to abseiling except you descend face FORWARDS!

The instructors will make sure that you have a brilliant time while being above all safe and you will never be asked to do anything you may be uncomfortable with.

Scared of heights? Don't panic, many clients have overcome this fear during a half day session with our activity providers which goes to show what having real experts really does make a difference to your experience.

Participants do not all have to be of the same ability as the activity can be tailored to suit your needs. The site we regularly use for the activity is a 150 foot face with a natural overhang.

Abseiling is a great all year round activity - only cancelled if it is pouring with rain, combined with a session paintballing makes for an adventure day to remember.

River Bugs are a bit of a rarity, only 50 exist in the world & we have 10 of them. Our suppliers were the very first company to bring this latest white-water activity over from New Zealand.

This action sport has never been offered to the public outside of New Zealand and Australia, until now!

River bugs are a single person device, made up of inflatable chambers behind and beside the user, basically an amalgam of a dingy and armchair! The air filled sections ensure that you stay afloat, while extra thick padding turns colliding with rocks into something similar to a sedate dodgems ride. After learning a few basic skills, you will be able to run the rapids, catch eddies, surf standing waves and even pirouette!

You will be provided with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet, booties, fins and special webbed gloves. The gloves are designed to help with paddling and steering the bugs. You will be taught how to operate the craft, i.e., steering, safety, etc and then taken out to play on the water.

For an activity that combines the best of white water sports it has to be River bugging. This activity is open to persons 16 years old and over and runs from April to October and sessions last half a day.

Open to anyone over the age of 16 and of reasonable fitness this is an excellent activity to combine with a half day session of paintball to make for a high energy, high thrills action packed day.

When you arrive at the quad venue you are given your safety equipment and provided with tuition from one of our qualified off-road instructors.

Once kitted out and clued up, you then head off to the beginners arena where the instructors will make sure you are happy with and able to ride the ATV's.

The venue offers nearly 1000 acres of varying terrain and challenges, so all levels of skill and confidence can be catered for.

With breath taking views and friendly helpful staff you are guaranteed an experience you will never forget.

We know you and your group will be talking about this activity long after you have been, because we still are!

Canyoning is a growing popular sport here in Scotland and in Perthshire we have some of the best natural terrain for this adrenalin fuelled activity.

The activity has been described as “a descent of a 2 mile stretch of White-water through a 350 ft gorge". Once you enter the River, your Canyoning

experience involves adrenalin pumping swimming through rapids, cliff jumps, rock scrambling and navigating huge waterfalls, combine this with some breathtaking views and you have a great experience to remember.

With three sites comprising of Calvine, Bruar and Craighall Gorge, the last of which is an exclusive site to our providers. These sites all offer something different and unique. Calvine is suitable for large groups and is a good starting option for first timers while Bruar is for more experienced participants who may be more comfortable with the challenges this activity provides.

Once you arrive with our guides you will be given all safety equipment needed, including helmet, wet suit & buoyancy aid. You are then given a safety brief and then guided through the activity by one of our experienced and qualified instructors.

Remember this is Scotland...the water can be cold so our providers wait until May in order to start this activity, then runs until the end of September depending on water levels and weather.

You must be 16 years or over & don’t have to be super fit to take part in this activity, but a certain level of fitness is required as this is a full half days activity. Groups numbers can be no larger than 16 for canyoning.
